The GCA-06 series of Geiger counters can detect and measure alpha, beta, x-ray and gamma radiation. -

High Contrast LCD Screen

NRC Certification
Each GCA-06W Digital Geiger Counter that is purchased with the NRC certification
is sent to an independent US government license nuclear lab that is licensed to
perform the NRC calibration and certification.
All of our Digital Geiger Counters are factory calibrated and highly accurate,
but when you purchase an NRC certification it is independently certified
accurate by US government licensed nuclear lab.

Factory Re-Calibration Service
As mentioned all of our Digital Geiger Counters are factory calibrated and ensured to be highly accurate before they are shipped, however you can purchase a factory recalibration for an Images geiger counter you have already purchased. It is reccomended that you have your geiger counter calibrated yearly to ensure it's accuracy.

Radiation Shields for Wands
These radiation shields friction fit on the open end of the Geiger Counter wand. Each shield helps to block radiation from reaching the internal GM tube inside the wand.
The shields are useful in performing nuclear tests and experiments.
The Screen shield is an open mesh nylon screen that allows all radiation including alpha to pass through. The paper shield blocks alpha radiation, while permitting beta and gamma radiation. The aluminum shield attenuates beta radiation and the lead shield attenuates gamma radiation. Shields may be purchased separately or in a set.
