This Geiger counter outputs audible click and will blink a LED with each radioactive particle it detects. In addition it has two digital outputs that may be connected to a number of accessory instruments; a data logger, Digital Meter adaptor that outputs an approximate radiation level, RS-232 adaptor to plot radioactivity on a PC, and true random number generator.

Using the analog meter adaptor, the geiger counter can approximate 3 radiation ranges: 0 to 1 mR/hr, 0-10 mR/hr and 0-100 mR/hr (or 55 mR/hr depending upon GM tube selected). This Geiger counter is compatible to the Radiation Network software.

Digital Output -- Provides two buffered TTL logic pulse each time a radioactive particle is detected. Used to connected to various digital adapters: The Counts Per Second (CPS) has been measured in excess of 5000 CPS.

While the geiger counter is on (powered), the PC board contains exposed high voltage components. Even when the cicuit is turned off (power is removed) the capacitors still may hold a high voltage charge.
