GMT-01 · Thin Mica Window Tube
Detects alpha, beta, and gamma radiation. Alpha radiation enters through the thin mica front window.
- Operating range: 450–600 volts
- Recommended voltage: 500 volts
- Anode resistor: 10 megaohms
- Gas filling: Neon and halogen
- Dimensions: 0.36" (9.1 mm) wide × 1.6" (40 mm) long
Sensitivity
- Alpha above 3.0 MeV
- Beta above 50 keV
- Gamma above 7 keV
The tube includes a black boot to protect the thin mica end window. Remove the boot to detect alpha particles. Beta and gamma radiation can be detected through the boot.
